Morocco enthralls even the most experienced adventurer. Tradition infuses its labyrinthine medinas, overflowing with centuries-old customs and the colorful bounty of the Earth. Join us in Morocco and explore several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the medinas of Fez and Marrakesh. You’ll also meet Moroccan people, experience their traditions, spend a night in a private tented camp under the starry skies of the mighty Sahara Desert, and more.
And this trip will be extra special since we will be in Morocco on Mary Veal’s 60th Birthday! We will celebrate together with a HUGE PARTY in Marrakesh!
This trip is hosted by Mary Veal and will include yoga daily. Please register and pay your deposit of $500 to hold your spot. Balance due 90 days prior to travel. The spirit of the season is all around as you cruise the storied Danube for 7 nights aboard the privately owned 162-passenger M/S River Aria. Christmas markets trace their origins to the 15th and 16th centuries in Europe. The earliest recorded market began on Christmas Eve in 1434. These markets were initially held to celebrate various religious feast days, with the winter market often being the largest. They served as a hub for local artisans to sell goods such as pottery, meat and baked goods, providing communities with essential supplies during the winter months. As time progressed, the focus of these markets shifted more towards Christmas celebrations. By the 19th century, the markets began to feature Christmas trees, Nativity scenes and toys, reflecting the growing association of these markets with the holiday season.
